ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

Lancashire Sock Manufacturing Company specialises in fabric coating and lamination, with its products being distributed worldwide.

The Company recognises the benefits of sustainable development approach to its operations, and will make reasonable endeavours to operate within the broad concept of sustainable development.

The Company recognises and accepts that concern for the environment and all members of its staff are an integral and fundamental part of the Company's business strategy.

The Company is committed to preventing pollution by adopting good environmental practice, and this has the commitment of the Managing Director whom will be responsible for its execution and ensuring that it is a prime concern of all employees.

We will identify any threat of pollution from our activities and products, and either eliminate or effectively control them. In particular, we will:

•	Reduce our environmental impact where possible, through the introduction of waste segregation and recycling initiatives.
•	Monitor raw material and energy consumption of our operations and set targets for improvements.
•	Comply with all relevant legislation, licenses and permits, and co-operate with the appropriate enforcement authorities.

We will demonstrate continual improvement of environmental performance through identifying, setting, and reviewing, specific objectives and targets, and for providing guidelines for Company personnel who have a responsibility for ensuring that these objectives are met.

This policy statement will be brought to the attention of all employees and copies will be freely available to the general public, suppliers, contractors, regulatory authorities and customers.
