WHAT IS LUMINEX?

An insulated fabric with a thin aluminium coating on one side, which reflects 300% more heat onto your clothes. A simple idea that seems like a miracle every time you iron.

No harm can come to your clothes with Luminex - the wonder fabric that gives you faster, smoother ironing.

Luminex metallised fabric is supplied on rolls in a variety of widths. It can be supplied in a wide variety of colours and with either white felt or foam backings.

Now, new improved softer feel Luminex, has no chemical smell and is both scorch resistant and flame retardant.

SILICONE COATED IRONING BOARD FABRICS FOR EASIER FRICTION-FREE IRONING

The silicone coated stripe on the side of the ironing board cover allows you to iron normally on the printed cotton surface but periodically when the iron becomes sticky, you only have to gently glide the iron over the silicone impregnated stripe to release the silicone and make the iron glide like 'lightening' over the board. A silicone stripe can be coated onto any printed cotton design. It really does work well and has to be seen to be believed.

'STICK & FIT' IRONING BOARD COVERS

Stick & Fit are rectangular pieces of our Luminex ironing board fabrics which have a thin PU Foam backing & a layer of adhesive covered with release paper. When you are ready to re-new your old cover, you just place the new Stick & Fit cover over the top - mark out the exact size you need and trim off the excess (see photo). Then peel back the release paper and stick the new cover either over the top of the old cover for extra padding or straight onto the ironing board, whichever you prefer.

SCORCH RESISTANT 'PARKING PLACE' FOR IRONING BOARD COVERS

We can now supply scorch resistant printed 'Aramid' fabric that will allow you to place the iron directly onto it whilst you are using the ironing board cover without the heat affecting it.
