LANCASHIRE SOCK MANUFACTURING COMPANY
REGISTRATION, EVALUATION, AUTHORISATION & RESTRICTION OF CHEMICALS
(REACH)

REACH is a European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. The law entered into force on 1 June 2007. The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances.

Lancashire Sock Manufacturing Company is a supplier of "articles" as defined in REACH. The "substances" that are contained in these articles are not intentionally released, nor do the articles contain any of the substances on the current SVHC Candidate List of Substances.

Concerning the other substances, which are needed in the production of the products supplied to you, we are dependent as a downstream user upon the registration by the manufacturer or importer. We have ensured as far as possible that all substances we use in our processes either on their own or in preparations are pre-registered or registered by our suppliers within the prescribed period.

While our products do not currently fall within the scope of REACH's registration requirement, we continue to monitor the EU regulations for changes that may require our attention.
